Company: Salik Labs Location: NSTP, H-12, Islamabad (NUST) Work Mode: Hybrid Timings: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM Position Type: Internship We are looking for a UI/UX Design Intern with a strong eye for design and a genuine interest in creating intuitive, polished digital experiences. This is a hands-on role where you will work on real products, websites, and digital experiences alongside our design and product teams. You will be involved in the design process from understanding requirements and exploring ideas to creating interfaces, prototypes, and responsive web experiences. We are looking for someone who already has a good foundation in UI/UX design and can demonstrate their abilities through a strong design portfolio. You do not need years of professional experience, but you should be able to show that you can think through a design problem and turn it into a well-executed solution.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive and visually polished interfaces for web and mobile products.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Use Figma to develop and refine digital product designs.
- Build responsive websites and landing pages using Framer.
- Translate product requirements and ideas into clear design solutions.
- Explore different approaches to solve UX and interaction problems.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
- Contribute to and maintain design systems and reusable components.
- Participate in design reviews and improve work based on feedback.
- Conduct basic user research and usability testing where required.
- Stay updated with modern UI/UX trends, patterns, and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Good working knowledge of Figma.
- Familiarity with Framer is preferred.
- Understanding of wireframing, prototyping, user flows, responsive design, typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
- A strong design portfolio is required. Your portfolio should demonstrate your ability to solve design problems and create polished digital experiences.
- Portfolio may include academic projects, personal projects, freelance work, or previous professional work.
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye for visual design.
- Ability to explain the reasoning behind your design decisions.
- Willingness to receive feedback, iterate, and improve your work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-driven, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Portfolio Expectations:
- Your portfolio is an important part of the application and should demonstrate more than just visually attractive screens.
- We want to see:
- Your UI/UX projects and design process.
- How you approach and solve a design problem.
- User flows, wireframes, or prototypes where applicable.
- Final high-fidelity designs.
- Responsive web or mobile design work.
- Any projects built or designed in Figma or Framer.
- A brief explanation of your role and contribution to each project.
- Applications without a design portfolio may not be considered.
